USB 3.0 announced

USB 3.0 is coming next year, around 7 years after USB 2.0 was first introduced. In IDF 07, Intel has announced that USB 3.0 will be released in first half of 2008. The speed of USB 3.0 will be 10X faster than USB 2.0, roughly 5 Gbps compare to 480Mbps, it is even faster than current SATA(3.0 Gbps) technology. USB 3.0 will uses fiber-optic cabling and remains backwards compatible with USB 2.0. Full specification of USB 3.0 will be announced when it is finalised next year, specs like power consumption, efficiency, CPU usage and cable length are what we expect it to improve.

Agree, but no need to get upset about it, although USB 3.0 will be launched next year, but full implementation of USB 3.0 is expects to happen in 2009/2010.
