No need to pay RM88 for installation!
Step by step self installation:
1.After apply for streamyx, you need to activate your line. You can SMS STXACTV
*Before you activate your line, you need to make sure your modem ADSL/DSL light is on and stable, if the ADSL/DSL light is blinking, you should not activate the line. If you do so, you cannot connect even you have activate it and the bill will start from the day you activate. So do not activate the line if the ADSL/DSL light is still blinking.
2.After the activation, you just need to setup your modem then it's done!
Is that easy, don't give away RM88 for just the setup of the modem!
If you pay the RM88, TM will send a technician just to configure your modem that only use about 5 minutes time.

I strongly do not agree with what u say regarding about " save ur RM88 for streamyx installation ". As i am a authorised installer, i found out so many customer unable to DIY as they r not professional + not every house have same module to DIY like u said. Dun simply tot our job to install is SO SIMPLE n get FAST CASH!!! U ARE JUST A NOOP WHO DUNNO ANYTHING ABOUT NETWORK!
I am not a professional and I have helped a lot of people to setup their Streamyx. This is what I have seen - Say No to Streamyx Installation. Ok, simple installation may becomes not so simple if there is a line problem, bad SNR, DSLAM problem, port problem,...etc., but solving those problems should be FOC, not under installation fee.

for me..i`m very agree for what the sigma said.nowadays econonics is not good at all,for a clever user,we should learn how to setup our streamyx and know whoat going on to our line.beside we are living in 21st century.if we really dun know how to setup,just search in google.
i agree TO SIGMAX SAY!!! REGISTRATION FEES of streamyx is so expensive... just set somethings so easy...for even no nid 5mins !!! cheats all the people duuno networking...if charge RM30 nvm la.. alittle.. set 3mins only charge RM88!!! wtf leh?? its so unfair for some1 even duuno what u set. =.=''
If you want everything is free , ask your father to fuck your mom ,and you see la, that real entertainment , no need to connect to internet to see porn. ha ha ha....

what la so angry, i charged my customer RM70, sometimes RM150 depend on the distance, But so far no problems with them, they all happy as i also provide free advice online to them. This issue is just a matter of how we serve the customers. All customes are like brothers too: )))
i am AGREE with wat "anonymous" say.. most ppl cant make it the proper installation as every house have not the same module.. regading the the bad SNR, sometime is cause by the internal wiring and also the parreral line which need the authorised installer to fix it. we should pay respect for them as they are earn in the correct way, not like mat rempit ragut ur handbag ok? :-)))))
dont register streamyx, streamyx too slow like turtle ****ing at beach!
1MBps registration pinging to oversea connection 400-600ms wtF!!
lame connection compare to other country --> 10MBps for home user lmao!
